Despite receiving multiple offers from various established companies, he often felt unfulfilled by the approach they took. The primary issues were a lack of transparency, lackluster financial reporting, and a noticeable absence of educational and creative support for musicians. Zachary Michael saw that many companies focused solely on the business aspect, often leaving artists in the dark about the intricacies of music publishing and their rights.

Motivated by these experiences, Zachary Michael envisioned a different kind of music publishing company—one that put the musician first.
